Limbo
By
Kathryn Evans
Childhood is fading
But the future’s not quite here
Trapped in limbo
So much ahead to fear
Tired of waiting
To find out who I am or will be
So much to see and know
Will I stay bound or break free?
Games must wait
So work can be done and things paid
Have to prove I’m grown up now
There are goals to accomplish, plans to be made
Is it always like this?
Trapped between one world and the next?
Anticipation burning you inside?
And also cold fear of not knowing what to expect?
