Drop

I am a single drop of water

in a very large pond

the pattern shifts and changes

and takes on a new appearance

but underneath it remains the same

there are other drops around me

and we collide and coalesced

our ripples distort as they

intermingle

and the pond is never resting

I am a single drop of water

in a very large pond

I am insignificant

yet my presence can ripple

out to the world around me
